Lee Chung-Yong has returned to full training with Bolton after almost 10 months out due to a broken leg suffered in pre-season.
The 23-year-old South Korea international, who suffered the injury in a pre-season friendly against Newport, resumed full training with the Bolton squad at the club s Euxton ground on Monday.
Bolton manager Owen Coyle told the club s website it was a positive sign to see him back, but admitted he was not ready for a return to match action anytime soon.
It s one thing to start training and it s another thing to be fit and available for the games, but it s great to have Chungy back out on the grass with our group, Coyle said.
It s encouraging to see him have that smile again and hopefully he will give a lift and boost to our squad.
Lee, who won Bolton s Player of the Year in 2010 after joining the club from FC Seoul, will also hope to be fit for his country s 2014 World Cup qualifiers which begin in June.
South Korea begin their fourth-round campaign on June 8 away to Qatar.
